He is also a regular broadcaster on the BBC, National Public Radio and CNN, and guest panelist on ’Inside Washington’ for CBS-TV, ‘Capital Gang Sunday’ forCNN and ‘White House Chronicle’ on the Public Broadcasting Network. He was awarded Britain’s Reporter of the Year prize in 1987. In 25 years as a journalist with Britain’s The Guardian newspaper, he served as bureau chief in Moscow and the US, as European Editor and assistant editor. He is co-author of “Europe in the 21st Century”, written during a Fellowship at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington DC.
